- 1.5 kg potatoes

Gravy Ingredients
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 1 cube of beef stock
- 2+1/4 cups (565 ml) boiling water
- 60 grams of unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder or garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt, seasoning
How to make mashed potatoes?
1. Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
2. Put the potatoes in a pot, add salt, add water to cover the potatoes by about 2 inches.
3. Bring to a boil over low heat for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Turn off the heat.
4. Strain the water through a sieve and leave for 3 minutes.
5. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add cream and milk. Bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
6. Place the potatoes in a potato masher or mash them through a sieve until smooth.
7. Add the cream mixture to the mashed potatoes, along with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper. Mix until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
How to make gravy?
1. Add both types of soup cubes to boiling water and stir until dissolved.
2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
3. Add flour, onion powder (or garlic powder) and ground black pepper and mix well.
4. Gradually pour in half of the broth mixture, stirring constantly until a roux (or thick, creamy consistency) forms, then add the rest of the broth mixture and stir until combined.
5. Continue to stir for another 1.30-2 minutes until the mixture thickens again. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
6. Scoop over the prepared mashed potatoes.
