- Yeast 2+1/2 teaspoons
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1+1/2 cups cold water
- Vegetable oil

- Grilled chicken, grilled pork or minced pork (stir-fried and seasoned to taste)
- Pork roll (cut into strips)
- Chinese sausage (cut into strips)
- Tomato (sliced)
- Shredded lettuce
- Carrot slices
- Chopped coriander
- Mayonnaise
- Sliced fresh chili
How to make Vietnamese bread?
1 Put flour, salt, yeast and sugar in a mixing bowl and mix well. Add cold water and mix for about 1 minute.
2 Turn on the mixer and mix at low speed for a while. Then adjust to medium speed and mix for about 4 minutes or until you can shape it.
3 Shape the dough into a ball, brush it with oil and place it in a container, cover with a cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour.
4 When time is up, divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and place on a tray, cover with a cloth and let rise for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
5 When the time is up, take it out and shape it into an oval shape like a rugby ball. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for about 40 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
6 Preheat oven to 475 degrees F. Set aside.
7 Spray water all over the dough. Use a knife to make beautiful cuts on the top of the bread. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until cooked.
8 Take out the bread and cut it lengthwise. Spread mayonnaise on it. Add various ingredients as desired. Serve hot. It will be crispy, soft and delicious. Pour chili sauce or ketchup on top.
